Legal information

Privacy policy

This website collects little data: what you write in the contact form and, if you agree, audience measurement. Here is which data, why, for how long, and how to exercise your rights.

Data controller

The data controller is the publisher of the website, a private individual acting on a non-professional basis (see the legal notice), who can be reached at contact@waterfall-project.pro.

The contact form

DataName, email address, company (optional), subject and message.
PurposeReplying to your message. It is used for nothing else: no marketing, no newsletter, no transfer to third parties.
Legal basisYour consent, given by ticking the box on the form.
RecipientThe publisher only. The message is sent by email to a mailbox hosted by OVH in France.
RetentionThree years after our last exchange, then deleted.

To protect the form against automated submissions, the contact page sets a technical session cookie (wf_contact) that holds only the expected answer to the anti-spam sum. It is deleted when you close your browser. Being strictly necessary for the service you request, it does not require consent.

Audience measurement

If you accept it in the banner shown on your first visit, and only then, the website uses Google Analytics to learn which pages are read and how visitors reach them. Without your consent, no Google script is loaded.

DataPages viewed, visit duration, origin (search engine, link), device and browser type, approximate country or city. Google Analytics 4 neither logs nor stores IP addresses.
Cookies_ga and _ga_*, with a lifetime of thirteen months at most.
Legal basisYour consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
ProviderGoogle Ireland Limited. Data may be transferred to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, to which Google adheres.
RetentionDetailed statistics are kept for fourteen months at most; after that only anonymous totals remain.

Your choice (accept or decline) is stored in your browser, without being sent to anyone, so that you are not asked again on every page.

This button, also available in the footer, clears your choice and the audience measurement cookies, then asks you again.

Other information kept

  • Language preference: if you close the suggestion to read the site in another language, that choice is stored in your browser. It is sent to no one.
  • Server logs: like any host, OVH records for each request the IP address, date, requested page and browser, for security purposes and to meet its legal obligations. These logs are not used for audience measurement.

The website contains no advertising, no social media buttons and no advertising trackers.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise them, write to contact@waterfall-project.pro. You will receive a reply within one month.

If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL) or with the supervisory authority of your country.
